Detailed Overview:
When you place an order from another country, your package may be subjected to customs duties, import taxes, and other related fees. These are determined by the destination country's customs departments and postal services and are separate from our shipping fees.
United States:
For orders under $1000 USD, no additional tax is applied. Orders above this value may incur additional charges.
Canada:
Items mailed to Canada may be subject to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and/or duty. You must pay the 5% GST on items imported into Canada by mail, calculated based on the value in Canadian funds.
U.K.:
You may be required to pay VAT tax. Goods worth more than £135 in total.
Europe:
When buying from a non-EU country, VAT is payable irrespective of the item's value. Customs duties apply to goods above €150. Specific goods may also incur excise duty.
New Zealand:
A 15% GST applies to all imported items. For items valued at NZ$1000 or less, overseas suppliers may charge GST. GST calculations include the item's price.
Responsibilities and Liabilities:
All customs, duties, and taxes are the buyer's responsibility. Please ensure you understand these potential costs before purchasing. Japan Scissors is not liable for charges or fees due to non-payment of customs fees or for any fees once the order is in transit.
